February 20th

Science 9: Today we continued with the Electricity Unit. We talked about the three laws of electric charge and applications of static electricity. Students who did not pass in questions #1-5 page 231 will need to place it in their portfolio next day.

Health 8/9: Review sheets were handed back and we went over the answers today. This is a great study sheet for the Unit 2 Quiz on Friday, February 24th. The quiz will have 5 Matching and 3 short answer questions.

Science 8: Today we started our new unit on Optics. We talked about some of the scientists who contributed to optics and we learned how to calculate how far away lightning is. We even tried on some old glasses- made of two magnifying glasses!
