May 30th

Science 2200: We discussed our weather forecasting findings and began a new topic on Canadian contributions to meteorology.

Science 1206: Checkpoint questions were collected. We completed the lab "Barry's Bog". Tomorrow we will do our predator prey lab. These activities will be due on Tuesday. Quiz is on Wednesday.

Math 1201 (B): We finished the section on sin and cos ratios and completed some practice. Please note that there will be a section check next Tuesday.

Math 1202: We continued with trig ratios.

May 29th

Science 1206: We finished chapter 8 today by discussing paradigm shifts. Checkpoint questions for chapter 7 and 8 are due tomorrow. Reminder that the ecology quiz is next Wednesday June 5th and STSE's are due this Friday! 

Math 1201 (B and D): Tangent ratio section check was completed today. We also completed the sections on using sin and cos. Please complete example 2 for homework in booklet 2.5.

Math 1202: We began Trig ratios today. 

Math 3201: Unit 8 test was completed. We have a very short unit on finance left to go! An assignment has been passed out that can be worked on as we complete the notes. This will be due next Wednesday and there will be a short quiz next Friday. Practice materials were handed out today for the public.

Math 1202: Similar triangle groups activity was completed. we will begin 7.2-7.2 tomorrow.

Math 1201(B and D): Practice was completed on the tangent ratio. Both slots will have their section review study check tomorrow (2 questions on finding angles and side length using the tangent ratio).

Math 1201 (B and D): Unit 7 test was completed. We will begin our last unit on Trigonometry tomorrow.

Math 1202: We finished section 7.1. We will complete an activity ton similar triangles tomorrow.

Math 3201: We finished Unit 8 today. An assignment was handed out and will be due on Monday. Test will be next Wednesday May 29th.

Math 1201 (D): Study checks and assignments were handed back and reviewed.

Reminder that both slots of Math 1201 have their Unit 7 Test tomorrow!

Math 3201: We finished section 8.4. Pleas review and complete some practice for this section. An assignment will be given out tomorrow that is due on Monday and tentative test date is next Wednesday.

Science 2200: We completed the artistic weather STSE section for our portfolio.

Science 1206: We continued with our ecology notes. Be sure to keep up with the checkpoint questions as they will be due after we complete chapter 7 and 8.

May 22nd

I hope everyone had a great long weekend and are ready for the last stretch of the school year! It's a busy time of year but important to stay on top of your assignments, tests and preparation for exams. If you have any questions please set up a time to come see me. As exams get closer I will also be setting up some tutorial sessions.

Science 2200: We continued with weather tools. We will discuss forecasting tomorrow in preparation for our lab next week.

Science 1206: We continued with our ecology unit. Please finish the two checkpoint questions in the powerpoint on biomes and limiting factors and don't forget to continue work on your STSE (Due May 31st).

Math 1201(B): Study checks and assignments were handed back and reviewed for the test on Thursday.

Math 1202: We began Unit 7.

Science 1206: Physics test was handed back and reviewed. We completed our last required STSE. Be sure to complete your own articles at home. the project is due the end of May. Question sheet from today is due on Wednesday.

Math 1201 (B and D): Assignments were collected and will be handed back on Tuesday. Test is next Thursday May 23rd.

Math 1202: Portfolios were handed back. We had a games day as the start of our last unit.


Math 3201: We began section 8.4.
