Math 8: Assignment on Unit 4 is tomorrow.

Math 6: We are now working on reflections. We will begin rotations later this week.

January 29th

Midterms exams have begun! Good luck to everyone!

Science 6/7: We completed a phases of the moon activity and discussed technology in space. We will be starting a technology bloom ball activity next week.

Math 8:  Volume of a cylinder questions were completed and posters were finished up. assignment will now be Wednesday and test next Monday.

Math 6: Students were given an extra practice booklet on transformations. We began reflections.

Math 7: We completed the section on Drawing circle graphs. We will finish this up next class. There will be an assignment this Friday on Unit 4. Test early next week.

Science 8/9: Tests were handed back and discussed. We began our new unit on electricity. Students completed their first portfolio task. Part 1, questions 1-5 on page 231. Please complete for homework if you did not finish in class.

Math 6: Today we did some translation activities where we acted out objects and their images. We will begin reflections on Monday.

Math 7: Students should now have booklets 4.1-4.6 handed in. We will begin our last topic on constructing circle graphs on Monday. We will have an assignment next week.

Math 8: Today we completed volume of cylinders. Finish review poster for homework. Assignment will be next Tuesday.

Science 1206/2200: We went through a practice test on the ecology unit.

Math 6: Students practiced translations of shapes. We will be completing some activities on this next class.

Math 7: We began interpreting circle graphs. Booklets for section 4.5 and 4.6 are due Friday. Please bring your math set on Friday to help with constructing circle graphs.

Math 8: We worked on the surface area of cylinders today. We will finish this topic tomorrow. Assignment will be early next week on Unit 4.

Science 8/9: Chemistry test on chapters 1-3 is tomorrow. We played a review game of Tic-Tac-Toe to review!

Math 6: We started a new unit on motion geometry. We started learning about translations today. We will continue with some activities tomorrow.

Math 7: Students continued work on area of composite shapes. 4.5 booklets are due tomorrow. We will begin circle graphs next class.

Biology 3201: We continued with review for the midterm. There will be another tutorial Thursday after school.

Environmental Science: Portfolios were due today. Chapter 7 review questions were completed. There will be a review session Thursday at lunch for the chapter 6-7 test.

Science 6/7: Students completed their drawings of asteroids, comets and meteoroids. The "L" section of the KWL chart was completed as well.

Math 8: We finished section 4.6 and started to discuss cylinders. If you did not finish practice on page 205 please finish up for homework.

Only 1 week left until midterm exams begin! Don't forget to start reviewing and take advantage of the afterschool tutorials!

Biology 3201: We began reviewing for the midterm. We covered the nervous system this morning. Tutorial afterschool today!

Environmental Science: Students continued working on their chapter 7 questions. These are a great review for the test next week. Portfolios are due tomorrow!

Science 8/9: Compound naming work was collected today for portfolios. We finished chapter 3. Test will be Thursday, January 25th.




Math 8: Today we learned about volume of a triangular prism. We will finish work on this section tomorrow.

Science 1206: Chemistry test was completed. Tutorial for midterm review is tomorrow after school.

Science 2200: Students began review for their ecology assessment.

Math 6: Survey assignments were completed today.

Math 8: Today we completed section 4.5. Everyone completed the assigned work, so no homework :)

Science 1206: We reviewed for the chemistry test on Monday. Solutions for the chemical equation sheet were handed out.

Math 6: Students began forming their own survey question and making their tallies. Time will be given in Monday's class to complete the tables and graph.

Science 6/7: Today we went to the gym and did our scale model of the solar system and completed a line graph of the results. Labs were collected.

Science 8/9: Today we completed covalent naming rules and did a naming matching game. Portfolio items for chapter 3 are due on Monday. Tentative date for the test is next Thursday, January 25th.

Math 6: Today we completed an experiment and created a tally, table and graph for the activity. page 118 #2, 3 are for homework.

Math 7: Students completed an activity on area of a triangle and started 4.4 booklet. We will continue with this next day.

Biology 3201: Chapter 15 test was completed.

Environmental Science: Students started chapter 7 review questions. Reminder that the unit assessment during midterm week will cover chapter 6 and 7.

Happy Friday!



Math 8: Today we finished section 4.3 and started section 4.4. A journal was completed.

Math 6: We started a new section on choosing appropriate graphs for data.

Math 7: Questions on section 4.1 and 4.2 were completed. We will begin parallelograms on Monday!

Biology 3201: Chapter 15 quiz was completed and labs were collected. We will finish 15.3 o Monday. Test is on Friday!

Environmental Science: Students began their ATV impact/solution bulletin. We will continue with this next class.

Science 8/9: We worked on naming ionic compounds. If you did not finish the practice problems on page 82 please finish for homework and place in your portfolio. We will continue with covalent compounds next class.

January 11th

Biology 3201: Today we began section 15.3. Reminder that menstrual cycle labs are due tomorrow as well we will be having our quiz on male and female reproductive systems tomorrow. Test on chapter 15 will be next Thursday. January 18th.

Environmental Science: Students finished questions on page 188 and continued their brainstorming on impacts on ATV's. We will begin a bulletin assignment next class.

Math 8: We started section 4.3 and found rectangular prisms in the classroom to calculate surface area.

Science 1206: We started reaction types. We will continue with this on Monday. Reminder that the test on the chemistry unit will be next Friday, January 19th.

Science 2200: Career Profiles were completed today. We will be completing a land and sea video assignment next class.

Math 7: Students completed a coin activity and began questions on section 4.1-4.2. We will continue these next class.

Math 6: We finished our section on line graphs today. If you did not finish the practice booklet plesse finish at home.

Science 2200: Students worked on a career profile. We will finish these up next day.

Science 6/7: Students worked on the article questions from last day. If you did not finish please complete at home and place in your portfolio by this Friday!

Math 6: Students worked on creating line graphs.

Math 7: Students 4.2 booklets were taken in today. They began work on 4.3.

Science 6/7: We read a CurioCity article on Extraterrestrial Life. We will continue with the activities tomorrow. 

Math 8: We worked on section 4.2 which included creating nets. We will continue with this tomorrow. 

Math 6: Students completed a journal on interpreting line graphs. We then started creating line graphs. 

Math 7: We did an activity on measuring circumference with circular objects in the classroom. Booklets 4.1 were collected and will be handed back next class. 

Biology 3201: Students started the menstrual cycle lab. We will have 20 more minutes on Thursday to discuss questions and lab will be due Friday. The quiz on male and female reproductive parts will also be on Friday. 

Environmental Science: We started Chapter 7. We will continue with questions 1-6 on page 188 next class. 

Science 8/9: We started chapter 3 today. This is the last chapter of the unit.

Welcome back and Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas break!

Math 6: Today we worked on interpreting line graphs. If you did not finish page 128-129 #3,4,5 please finish for homework.

Math 7: We began Unit 4, booklet 4,1 is due tomorrow.

Biology 3201: We completed the section on birth control and then started the menstrual cycle. We will complete our lab tomorrow and will have a quiz on the female and male reproductive parts on Friday!

Environmental Science: Students completed Chapter 6 review questions. We will begin Chapter 7 tomorrow.

Math 8: Students finished up section 4.1 on constructing nets we will continue this topic in section 4.2 tomorrow.

Science 1206: We began writing and balancing chemical equations today. We will continue with this next class.

Science 2200: Students completed their carbon footprint questionnaire. This should be placed in their portfolio.
