Midterms exams have begun! Good luck to everyone!

Science 6/7: We completed a phases of the moon activity and discussed technology in space. We will be starting a technology bloom ball activity next week.
Math 8: Volume of a cylinder questions were completed and posters were finished up. assignment will now be Wednesday and test next Monday.
Math 6: Students were given an extra practice booklet on transformations. We began reflections.
Math 7: We completed the section on Drawing circle graphs. We will finish this up next class. There will be an assignment this Friday on Unit 4. Test early next week.
Science 8/9: Tests were handed back and discussed. We began our new unit on electricity. Students completed their first portfolio task. Part 1, questions 1-5 on page 231. Please complete for homework if you did not finish in class.

Math 7: Students continued work on area of composite shapes. 4.5 booklets are due tomorrow. We will begin circle graphs next class.
Biology 3201: We continued with review for the midterm. There will be another tutorial Thursday after school.

Biology 3201: Today we began section 15.3. Reminder that menstrual cycle labs are due tomorrow as well we will be having our quiz on male and female reproductive systems tomorrow. Test on chapter 15 will be next Thursday. January 18th.
Environmental Science: Students finished questions on page 188 and continued their brainstorming on impacts on ATV's. We will begin a bulletin assignment next class.
Math 8: We started section 4.3 and found rectangular prisms in the classroom to calculate surface area.

January 9th
Science 6/7: We read a CurioCity article on Extraterrestrial Life. We will continue with the activities tomorrow.
Math 8: We worked on section 4.2 which included creating nets. We will continue with this tomorrow.
Math 6: Students completed a journal on interpreting line graphs. We then started creating line graphs.
Math 7: We did an activity on measuring circumference with circular objects in the classroom. Booklets 4.1 were collected and will be handed back next class.
Biology 3201: Students started the menstrual cycle lab. We will have 20 more minutes on Thursday to discuss questions and lab will be due Friday. The quiz on male and female reproductive parts will also be on Friday.
Environmental Science: We started Chapter 7. We will continue with questions 1-6 on page 188 next class.

Welcome back and Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas break!
Math 6: Today we worked on interpreting line graphs. If you did not finish page 128-129 #3,4,5 please finish for homework.
Math 7: We began Unit 4, booklet 4,1 is due tomorrow.
Biology 3201: We completed the section on birth control and then started the menstrual cycle. We will complete our lab tomorrow and will have a quiz on the female and male reproductive parts on Friday!

Math 8: Students finished up section 4.1 on constructing nets we will continue this topic in section 4.2 tomorrow.
