Today we had our Terry Fox Walk! We raised over $2,000! Way to go :)
Science 1206: Today we finished the nitrogen cycle and did review cards on the three cycles.
Math 6: Extra Practice sheets were given out, these can help with review for the in-class assignment on Wednesday October 4th.
Math 7: Booklets for 1.7 and 1.8 are due on Monday. There will be an in-class assignment on Wednesday October 4th.
Math 8: In-class assignment will be Tuesday October 3rd and test on Unit 1 will be Thursday October 5th. Question page 49 #7,9,11,13,16 are for homework.
Science 8/9: Students began a space exploration group assignment. We will continue with this on Monday. Due to missing class today for the Terry Fox Walk our in-class assignment on Chapter 10-11 will be after the Thanksgiving break!

Math 6: We finished the last topic in our first unit today. The TRY question is for homework. We will be having a journal tomorrow and working on some review questions. There will be an in-class unit assignment on Wednesday October 4th.
Math 7: Students worked on section 1.7 and began section 1.8. There will be an in-class unit assignment on Wednesday October 4th.
Biology 3201: We began work on the human eye today.
Environmental Science: Students finished questions 1-7 page 13.
Science 6/7: Today we completed an eat like a bird activity! We had lots of fun!! We will discuss our results next class. Students who were out last day need to finished the adaptation assignment for homework.

Biology 3201: We finished our section on Nervous System disorders and also did a neuron throw-down and neurotransmitter activity. We will be starting the human eye next class.
Environmental Science: Food web questions #1-7 on page 13 were completed. We will continue with these next day.
Math 8: Questions page 43, #3.4.5.6 ab, 8,9,10 are for homework.
Science 1206/2200: Log labs were collected. We began chapter 2.
Math 6: We continued with representing numbers in the decimal place value chart. Questions page 56 #2, 3,4,6 should be completed for homework. There will be an assignment and test next week. I will update later in the week on the exact dates.
Math 7: Students continued with work on section 1.6. Questions page 33-34 #1,2,4,5,6 should be completed for homework.

Science 6/7: Today we worked on an animal adaptation assignment. Students picked an animal of their choose and researched its adaptations, made a sketch and notes. This will be finished tomorrow and collected.
Math 8: Students completed an in-class assignment. We will begin section 1.5 tomorrow.
Science 1206/2200: Chapter 1 assignment were handed back and reviewed. We reviewed how to do a lab report in preparation for our log lab tomorrow. Please complete your hypothesis if you did not get it finished in class.
Math 6/7: Assignments are moved from tomorrow to MONDAY to allow for some extra practice time. We will continue with review tomorrow. All students have extra practice sheets they can work on.
Science 8/9: Today we began chapter 11 and had a game of leap frog! Reminder that there will be an in-class assignment after we complete chapter 11.

Science 1206: Today we finished chapter 1. We will be completing a lab this week. We will review lab report formats in tomorrow's class.
Science 6/7: Today we discussed our findings from our outdoor living things activity. Each group found some interesting living things! We started talking about adaptations organisms have in order to live in certain environments. We will be completing an assignment on this tomorrow. Each student will choose an organism and research their adaptations.
Math 6: Today we completed some story problems on using large numbers. Students are reminded to keep reviewing their multiplication facts and estimation skills in order to help with these types of problems. There will be an in-class assignment on Friday. We will do some review tomorrow. Each student has an extra practice booklet if they are looking for extra examples to try!
Math 7: Students need to complete 1.5 in their booklet and pass in tomorrow. There will be an in-class assignment on Friday (sections 1.1-1.5).
Biology 3201: Quizzes were completed today. We will be completing a group activity on disorders of the nervous system later this week!
