Science 8/9: Labs and in-class assignments were handed back. Chapter 2 is now complete. We will begin Chapter 3 after the Christmas break.

Math 8: We started Unit 4 on constructing nets.

Math 6: Students completed a coordinate grid activity and also made there own designs using ordered pairs.

Math 7: Assignment was completed today. Due to play practice the test is now rescheduled to Monday!!

Biology 3201: We completed the female reproductive section and students completed a part/function summary chart.

Environmental Science: Students started an environmental recreation impact cube activity!

Math 8: In-class assignment was completed today. Test will be on Monday.

Science 1206: Students reviewed their naming compound rules. Quiz will be on Monday.

Parent Teacher Interviews are today from 1-3:30 and 5:30-7. Looking forward to meeting with you!

Math 6: Today we finished equivalent equations. There will be an in-class assignment on Tuesday December 5th.

Math 7: Students worked on a mid-unit review, there assignment will be on Tuesday December 5th.

Environmental Science: Terms were reviewed for the quiz on chapter 4-5 which will be on Tuesday December 5th.

Biology 3201: Quiz on mitosis and meiosis is tomorrow. Tentative date for the chapter 14 test is December 11th. We reviewed for our quiz today and went over asexual reproduction.

Biology 3201: Today we went over gamete formation and completed a mitosis, meiosis comparison chart. Meiosis worksheet is for homework if you did not finish in class. We will review for our quiz tomorrow. Quiz is on Friday(mitosis and meiosis).

Environmental Science: Chapter 5 questions were completed. Checklist was handed out and a study guide. Portfolios will be collected tomorrow and quiz on chapter 4-5 will be Tuesday December 5th.

Science 8/9: Bohr-diagrams were reviewed and we started Periodic Table trends.

Math 8: We started section 3.6 on dividing fractions using common denominators and multiply by the reciprocal.

Science 1206: We continued with molecular naming and completed some practice.

Science 2200: Students started an "Ecology Cube activity"

Math 6: We continued with equivalent equations section.

Math 7: Students worked on section 3.6 and completed an order of operations matching activity. Booklets for 3.6 are due tomorrow if they have not already been passed in.

Reminder: Parent-teacher interviews are tomorrow from 1:00-3:30 and 5:30-7:00. Students will be dismissed at lunch.

Science 1206:  Polyatomic ion practice was completed and corrected. We began molecular compounds.

Science 2200: Students finished their "Food Chain Cup" activity.

Math 7:  We began section 3.6. In-class mid unit assignment (3.1-3.6) will be next Tuesday December 5th.

Math 6:   Students completed a journal then played an equilvalent equations game.

November 27th

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Congrats to the girls volleyball team on winning the regionals!

Science 6/7: We continued working on our planet brochures. We will have one more class to complete them.

Science 8/9: Today we finished chapter 1, chapter 1 review sheets and Bohr diagram practice sheets should be placed in portfolios. We will begin chapter 2 next day. Before the Christmas break we will have an in-class assignment on Chapter 1-2 (date to follow).

Math 6: Today we began equivalent equations and we modeled them using a balance scale.

Math 7: Students finished work on 3.5. We will start 3.6 tomorrow. There will be a mid-unit assignment sometime at the end of the week or beginning of next week. (date to follow)

Biology 3201: Students made pipe cleaners models of meiosis. Quiz scheduled for Wednesday will now be Friday, December 1st.

Environmental Science: We worked on Chapter 5 questions. Quiz on chapter 4-5 will be next Tuesday, December 5th. Portfolios will be collected this Thursday November 30th.

We had a great time at our Pie Day Fundraiser- we raised over $300!

Environmental Science: Students watched "King of Sheeps" Land and Sea video and completed questions for their portfolio.

November 1st

Happy November!

Science 6/7: Students presented their vertebrate group posters. Checklists for portfolios were handed out. I will be collecting them on Friday.

Math 8: In-class assignments were handed back. We did a connect 4 review game. Test is tomorrow.

Science 1206: We began our new unit: Chemistry and started WHMIS

Science 2200:  Poster project on how to help the environment was started today.

Math 6:  We continued with work on integers. There will be a unit assignment coming up soon.

Math 7:  Reminder that the Unit 2 Test is tomorrow.

Science 8/9:  We completed our solar system lab!

Reminders: -November 9th; Remembrance Day Assembly
- No school November 10th and 13th (Remembrance Day Holiday)
- No school November 24th (PD day)
- Reports go home on November 27th, Parent Teacher Interviews on the 30th.

Happy Halloween!!

Science 1206: Students completed their ecology test. We will begin our new Chemistry unit next class.

Science 6/7: Students worked on their vertebrate group projects. They will be presented to the class next day.

Math 7: Students reviewed for their test on Thursday. Assignments were handed back.

Math 6: We started our new section on integers. We did a number line activity. Their will be a unit assignment coming up soon!

Environmental Science: Chapter 1-3 Quiz was completed.

Biology 3201: We continued with problems associated with the different endocrine glands and played a game of GLAND BINGO in preparation for our quiz on Thursday!
