October 31st

Happy Halloween!!

Science 1206: Students completed their ecology test. We will begin our new Chemistry unit next class.

Science 6/7: Students worked on their vertebrate group projects. They will be presented to the class next day.

Math 7: Students reviewed for their test on Thursday. Assignments were handed back.

Math 6: We started our new section on integers. We did a number line activity. Their will be a unit assignment coming up soon!

Environmental Science: Chapter 1-3 Quiz was completed.

Biology 3201: We continued with problems associated with the different endocrine glands and played a game of GLAND BINGO in preparation for our quiz on Thursday!

Quote of the week: 

Math 8: Students completed their in-class assignment. These will be handed back next day and the Unit 2 Test will be on Thursday.

Math 7: In-class assignments were completed today. Test will now be on Thursday, November 2nd.

Math 6: We reviewed factors and multiples. We will be starting integers in tomorrow's class.

Biology 3201: Reminder that the endocrine gland and hormone quiz is on Thursday, November 2nd.

Environmental Science: Students reviewed for their Chapter 1-3 Quiz tomorrow. Portfolios were handed back.

Science 8/9: Space Unit test was completed. We will be completing our solar system model lab next class.


Halloween Activities: 
-October 30th:Haunted House will be open to the public from 7-8.
-October 31st: Costume Day. Happy Halloween!

October 27th

Good luck to the girls volleyball team at Volleyfest!!

Biology 3201: Students completed an endocrine gland "puzzle" activity. We will go over this next class. Quiz on the glands and hormones will be Thursday November 2nd.

Environmental Science: Students completed a carbon footprint lab. Quiz on Chapter 1-3 is on Tuesday October 31st.

Math 8: In-class Unit 2 Assignment is on Monday. We completed a station activity for review. Unit 2 Test is November 2nd.

Science 1206: Assignments were handed back and reviewed. Test is Tuesday October 31st.

Math 6: Mid-Unit assignment was completed today.

Math 7: Unit assignment is Monday!

Halloween Activities: 
-October 30th: Ghost Day! Come dressed as a ghost. Haunted House at lunch!Haunted House will be open to the public from 7-8.
-October 31st: Costume Day. Happy Halloween!

October 26th

Math 8: Students worked on section 2.5. We will be completing a stations review tomorrow for the in-class assignment on Monday.

Math 6/7: In-class assignment is tomorrow. Math 6 is a mid-unit assignment and Math 7 is sections 2.1-2.5

Science 1206: In-class assignment was completed, we will review tomorrow and test will be Tuesday October 31st.

Science 6/7: We had a presentation by MMSB on food wastage! Students will be given a checklist tomorrow and portfolios will be taken in early next week.

Science 6/7: Students began working on their vertebrate group projects. we will continue with this next class. Tomorrow's science class there will be an MMSB presentation.

Math 8: Today we did section 2.5 on order of operations. We will work on this tomorrow. In-class assignment is on Monday October 30th and Test will be Thursday November 2nd.

Math 6/7: Students have an assignment on Friday! Review sheets have been sent home.

Biology 3201: Today we finished the endocrine glands and hormones. We will complete an activity next day.

Environmental Science: Reminder that portfolios are due on Friday. Quiz Chapter 1-3 is on Tuesday October 31st

October 24th

Math 6: Today we started prime and composite numbers. We played a few games on factors and prime numbers! Mid-Unit assignment is on Friday!

Math 7: Students finished section 2.4. We will begin 2.5 next class. 2.4 Booklets are due tomorrow. In-class assignment (2.1-2.5) is on Friday. Test on Unit 2 will be Tuesday October 31st.

Biology 3201: 13.1 assignments were due today. We learned the Pituitary gland, Thyroid gland and Parathyroid gland today.

Environmental Science: Portfolios are due on Friday (Checklist and Term Study sheet were given out today). Quiz Chapter 1-3 on Tuesday October 31st.

Math 8:  Students worked on Section 2.4 questions and we completed a journal. We will continue with 2.5 tomorrow. In-class assignment will be on Monday (2.1-2.5). Please finish 2.4 questions for homework (Page 87-89 #4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 &18)

Science 1206/2200: We played Stinky Foot for review for our In-class assignment on Thursday. Biome assignments are also due Thursday. Ecology Test is Tuesday October 31st.

October 23rd

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great long weekend!

Science 8/9: Students worked on Chapter 12 questions and risk/benefit index card.These are due on Wednesday as part of the portfolio mark. Test will be Monday, October 30th on the full Space unit (Chapter 10-12). We started setting up for our solar system scale lab that we will complete next week.

Math 8: We started section 2.4. there will be a journal on dividing tomorrow. In-class assignment on sections 2.1-2.5 will be Monday October 30th.

Science 1206/2200: We worked on our biome assignments again today. This was the last day for in-class time. Assignments are due on Thursday! In-class assignment will also be Thursday and the Ecology unit test will be Tuesday October 31st.

Science 6/7: We finished our arthropod assignment and started our vertebrate group assignments.
